James Ngois currently executive vice President of Franchise Management at Legendary Entertainment. In this capacity, Ngo is tasked with developing and executing strategies to create additional revenue-generating opportunities for Legendary IPs across film, television and digital. This includes overseeing Interactive, Location Based Entertainment, Consumer Products, and Promotions & Partnerships activities globally while managing relationships with 3rdparty IP holders like Toho, The Pokemon Company, Herbert Properties LLC and others. During his tenure, Ngo has rolled out major 360 programs for Pokemon Detective Pikachu, Pacific Rim: Uprising, Godzilla: King of the Monsters and the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong and Dune. Prior to joining Legendary, James spent nearly a decade in various roles at Fremantle, overseeing the licensing and branding strategies for some of the biggest television properties in the world including American Idol, America’s Got Talent, X-Factor, The Price IsRightand Family Feud. Through his work at Fremantle, Ngo forged enduring relationships with world-class licensees and retailers across all major categories including toys, fashion & apparel, home, beauty, food, publishing and gaming. Most recently, Ngo was Vice President of Licensing and Business Development at Earthbound Brands, a boutique design and licensing agency based in New York City that specializes in large scale direct-to-retail and licensing programs. There he oversaw the business development and brand management teams which managed a broad portfolio of lifestyle and media brands including Instyle, Cooking Light, DuPont, Kevlar, Covergirl, Portico, Sharknado and Winx Club. James holds a B.A. in Communications Studies from UCLA and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
