Shaan Akbar is a digital executive and consultant who has spent the past 6 years scaling games businesses for the world's largest media companies. Most recently, he led Games Publishing at NBCUniversal, where he delivered and executed a strategy to build a vertical games operation leveraging brands like Jurassic World and Fast & Furious. Previously, at Disney, he doubled the run-rate on a portfolio of digital Star Wars games to gross $100mm+ during his tenure. He now brings his D2C and brand expertise to clients, advising them on acquiring, scaling, and optimizing digital businesses. His clients range from financial sponsors to growth-stage ventures. Shaan's early career has spanned strategy/planning roles at Merrill Lynch and Disney. He received a joint MBA/MA from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University.
